Do I need a myki in Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone?

No. You do not need to touch on or off when the entire tram journey starts and ends inside the Free Tram Zone. Use myki as normal if either end is outside it.

How do I know where the free zone ends?

Check the Free Tram Zone signs at your boarding and destination stops. This map highlights only the tram tracks between Transport Victoria boundary stops, not the entire surrounding street area.

Are the tram markers live?

Yes. Tram markers appear only from measured Transport Victoria GTFS-Realtime vehicle coordinates. Timetable projections are not displayed as live locations.
